Time, history, remains, archaeology, present identity.
We analised the Friulian territory during the residency programme curated by Iodeposito. Architectural fossils, factories and fragments of history whose presence is absent and tells us about the identity of the territory.
A scenario rich of industries, wars and cultures, where the mill was a centripetal force and the cancellation of all kinds of tensions, conflicts and parties. The mill offered the raw material and the solidarity that man was looking for during the two great wars. A glue attractor. We created an impossible archive of time and landscape fossils, portraits from fragments of some industries. An archive that is impossible because there is no way of cataloguing and showing images of reality, because they are subject to and immersed in an intrusive and invasive context such as time.
They create illusions of reality, they create other objects that look like them but are not them. It is therefore impossible to capture their complete and faithful image except through their fragments and their constituent raw materials. Form changes as time passes.
