“Dust. There is transcendence in this concept, a mixture of existentialism and phenomenalism that can be traced back to all fields of knowledge. From the natural sciences to philosophy, from literature to astronomy, the study of matter as a tangible body, made up of living and conscious elements, inspires research and commentary in a continuous and fascinating updating process. Aesthetics is no different. The great masters of the past have taught it, between personifications and still lives. How much beauty is inherent in matter, how much refinement in plastic art refers to past, present and future life. A time of life and a life of time.

Dust is a positive vanitas: The “transience of life”, but in constant transformation. Nothing is lost in dust, nothing is forgotten, on the contrary, it is remembered, accumulated, weighed. History is inscribed in this coloured dust, it belongs to an infinite and infinitesimal world that is never separated. Each grain has a mixed identity, where common language fails for lack of meanings, names available to identify each individual identity contained within it.It is astonishing to think about this difference, because it attracts more and more the knowledge of existence, of an unknown but present life, with its transposition into something material and memorable. Dust’s plastic memory marks time, describes identity, abandons language in apparent silence to become alive and active.
Alice and Ahad break down the commonplace, giving energy to an imperceptible but not non-existent element, and make this transcendence their aesthetic analysis. We too are dust, an emblem of the present’.
